Accessibility statement
CoLab at 55 Merritt is committed to making our website and our physical space usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we design, build, and operate — not an afterthought — and we treat feedback as the most important signal that we still have work to do.
Our website
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice, that means we use semantic HTML, descriptive alt text on meaningful images, sufficient color contrast across light and dark modes, visible focus indicators, keyboard-navigable interfaces, and ARIA attributes where appropriate. Forms have proper labels and error messages. Interactive components — menus, dialogs, accordions — follow established patterns that screen readers and assistive technology can interpret.
We test with screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA), keyboard-only navigation, and automated tooling, and we review accessibility whenever we make significant changes to the site. We know automated checks miss real-world barriers, which is why feedback from people who actually use assistive technology matters most to us.
Our building
55 Merritt Boulevard offers ADA-compliant parking spaces near the main entrance, step-free entry through the front doors, accessible restrooms on each floor with proper clearance and grab bars, and elevator access between all floors. Hallways and common areas are wide enough for mobility devices, and conference rooms can accommodate wheelchair seating at the table.
If you need any accommodation for a tour or for working in the space — sign language interpretation, a quiet room, adjusted lighting, reserved accessible parking, or anything else — please reach out in advance and we'll have it ready when you arrive.
Limitations and ongoing work
Some content — particularly older PDFs, third-party embeds, and user-uploaded images — may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. We're working to remediate these as we find them. If something on the site or in the building isn't working for you, we want to know.
